Spring Break On Ice
A week ago today, we took a maiden voyage lap around the Rink at the University ...
45 minutes, and about 90 degrees around lap one, public skate was over. And, this girl (and her newest, orange, best friend) were pretty convinced they totally loved ice skating - and were pretty good at it too.
So, we signed up for "Spring Break Ice Skate Camp!" An "intense" daily skating workshop for the 3-6 crowd ... I wasn't sure we'd make it through day one because orange cones were highly discouraged.
Day 1: The wee skaters learn how to fall -- and get up! Orange cone was replaced with smiling skating coach. Let the marching, falling, and getting back up to do it again begin!
By the end of the week, all the little skaters were marching in and out of cones!
End of the week - she got it!
Here’s to “When in
Alaskarella (Proud Ice Mom)
And, the crowd went wild!
